Chicken with Bacon Parmesan Cream Sauce

This Chicken with Bacon Parmesan Cream Sauce contains chicken breasts seared in the skillet then cooked in a creamy, bacon-y, cheesy sauce. A quick meal that’s sure to please all, even the little ones!

What you will need for this recipe

Start with one package of chicken breasts (about 3-4 pieces) seasoned with salt and pepper. Chicken will be fried in olive oil in a skillet, I prefer Cast Iron. I used a 12″ Lodge Cast Iron for this recipe. For the yummy sauce you will need some shredded parmesan cheese, bacon, heavy cream, and cream cheese. That’s all, it doesn’t take much to make this delicious chicken!


How to make Chicken with Bacon Parmesan Cream Sauce

First, fry bacon in a large skillet. Once cooked, set aside and reserve grease for later. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper then, in the same (now empty) skillet, cook chicken completely through and set aside. Once chicken and bacon are both cooked to perfection, you can begin the sauce.

Return grease to the same skillet and heat on medium, be sure not to let it start sizzling or bubbling. Once grease is reheated, add heavy cream and whisk together. Continue whisking until mixture begins to foam on the edges of the skillet. Add cream cheese and parmesan until sauce is smooth. Crumble up the delicious precooked bacon and mix into sauce but be sure to reserve some to use as a garnish!

Once sauce is mixed, return chicken to skillet to cook in sauce for a few more minutes. Plate chicken and spoon sauce on top then add extra crumbled bacon to garnish. Enjoy!

  • 1 lb chicken breasts (about 3-4 pieces)
  • 4 tbsp shredded parmesan cheese
  • 4 slices bacon (reserve bacon grease)
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp cream cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • pinch of salt & pepper


  1. Pour oil into a large skillet and heat on medium.

    Sprinkle salt & pepper on chicken and add chicken to skillet.

  2. In a separate skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Set cooked bacon aside and reserve bacon grease. 

  3. When chicken is completely cooked through, set aside and begin sauce. Add reserved bacon grease to skillet and heat on Med Low heat. Whisk in heavy cream until well combined. 

  4. Add cream cheese and whisk until smooth. Add parmesan cheese and whisk until smooth. Toss in crumbled up bacon and mix in, be sure to save some bacon to use as a garnish at the end. 

  5. Place chicken back in the skillet to simmer in the sauce for just a few minutes. Serve chicken with a spoonful of sauce on top and garnish with crumbled bacon.
